A Window View on Prospects of Erp Implementation in Municipal Corporation of Delhi

Wide spread penetration of IT has become a part of our social, business and economic fabric. Today, information is at present as equal or more important as roti, kapra aur Makan (bread, cloth and house). Therefore, value of information using new technology serve better to organization as well users than before. Literature survey of ERP models practically implemented & used at present by various municipal/ State/Govt./Public and Private sector organizations across the world help to know about intrinsic part of ERP implementation in general and specific for MCD, and also may suggest the prospects of better ERP model in future for MCD. Aim of this paper is to recognize issues involved with MCD functionality, ERP software, and identify the basic motivational requirements and concerns of ERP implementation for MCD to enable improved services.
